CULTURAL PROGRAMMING

Last Night I Cried….Echoes of the Heart

Last Night I Cried....Echoes of the Heart is the cultural programming arm of the Last Night I Cried…. project, designed to extend the work beyond exhibition spaces and into shared, embodied experience. Rooted in collective care, the program creates intentional gatherings where art becomes a catalyst for conversation, reflection, and emotional release. Through facilitated dialogue, screenings, and communal rituals, Echoes of the Heart centers healing as a communal practice rather than a solitary pursuit.

Operating at the intersection of art, wellness, and mental health, the program invites women of color into spaces of witnessing and connection, allowing personal narratives to resonate collectively. Rather than offering solutions, Echoes of the Heart holds space—honoring heartbreak, tenderness, and love as ongoing processes shaped through community.
